Hand printed on super soft, Japanese double cotton gauze in vibrant navy and bright orange, the blanket scarf measures 55cm wide x 200cm long approx. Both ends of the scarf are carefully fringed by hand and the scarf is large enough to loop and tie around your neck. Alternatively you can simply use it as a wrap draped around your shoulders on a cool day. The double weave fabric has a blue/grey ground on the printed front and a white/grey ground on the reverse. This double weave means that the scarf tones well with shades of navy, grey and black making it extremely versatile.
The blanket scarf is lightweight and can be neatly folded so it is perfect for travelling and packing into your hand bag when the weather is changeable and you need an extra layer. The fabric is super soft against your skin, making it ideal for anyone who finds woollen scarves too itchy and hot.
The bold, graphic design was inspired by a day spent happily collecting stones on the beach and attempting to balance them one on top of the other, in a series of precarious, wobbling towers.
The scarf can be washed in the machine on a cool and gentle hand wash setting. When it has dried the fabric will be crinkled, it can be left in its natural crinkled state for a relaxed look or, if you prefer it to look smarter, the blanket scarf can be ironed on the reverse on a cotton setting.
